Well it has happened, Collin is in the MTC...It was hard, and sad but it was okay, and as we left both Nate and I had the impression that he would be called as District leader, Nate explained what was going on, we drove over to the BYU bookstore and put together a gift bag for him. We got treats and pictures and just fun things to help with the transition. Then we went to the Nike outlet and yes that really helped, we got him shorts and I got a pair of shoes. When we got home, Bill was so sad, I was also, but the way I handle that is by organizing and cleaning his room, and making a list of things I need to send him. The house was quiet, but it was not real yet....
Week one passed....no letter, I was not bitter at all, I did not know if he was sad, or coming home or having the time of his life or alive, anything...nothing. General Conference weekend we knew things would be off so we waited, Finally Thursday, one week and one day later a letter came in the mail and one on email. I was so happy, Collin not so much, he was alive but so homesick, and he had been made district leader. Then we received another hand written letter, and he was already sounding better, just tired and stressed and homesick, but making friends.
Week 3,
His P-day is Thursday, I sent him a package on Saturday and we started writing him on dear elder everyday, just to get him over the withdrawals of social media, no sleep and a strict schedule. however he sent pictures.
District
Week 4 I sent another package and in 2 weeks we leave for Germany.....so so excited......
One month left in the MTC.
These were all the pictures I had of the MTC. I will have to have Collin label them when he gets home.

Great. Hope to see more letters of this awesome elder posted here.
