The call arrived November 27th in the morning to just wait all day......until 8:00

After 100 people ( okay maybe I am exaggerating)  at least it felt like 100, came to my home, it was crazy, plus we were trying to coordinate a call to Germany which was 3:00 am their time.  He opened his call and after announcing Hungary Budapest, his next words were " well I didn't see that coming" nor did any of us. I was waiting for somewhere in South America.  Then when we all calmed down, he read to enter the MTC April 1st.  So for the next 4 months he kept worrying that it was a "April Fools" joke and he was really going to Boise Idaho.



After Thanksgiving, a trip to Germany to see Blaire Ryan and Rose, Christmas, and Happy 2015 New Years Eve....Mission prep began.....

   A trip to Kater Shop, suits and ties and shoes taken care of ..... learning to iron, mission hair cut by Nate,  Temple date March 7th,  Farewell March 22nd.  Last of goodbyes and the day...

Last time hunting trips and the last wisdom tooth out with Collin under sedation.....so fun, he was kind of a grumpy pants as he yelled at me for not getting his dog and letting him talk to his friends on missions....he also told me I was bullying him and punched him and that was why he was bleeding.

 Of course lets throw in a quick trip to Florida where we went to 6 parks a baseball game in 3 days...Nate and I called it boot camp for Collin as we walked him over all day and night and put on rides that made him sick, yet he smiled through it all....or so we thought until his true feelings came out on Rockin' Rollar Coster when he thought now one would see.  

                  This was my view for most of the trip...try staying up with their strides......

Back home take a breath and plan a farewell....for about 100 people......

The farewell was beautiful...Collin gave an amazing talk, Nate, Meg and Emma sang "He Lives' with Jordon Koford accompanying.  Taylor played the viola, it was so so great.  However, when I looked back to see how many people where there it was terrifying.  They were putting up chairs in the back until after the sacrament was passed.  So many people.  I feed about 160 is my guess and watched the miracle of the fish and bread come to life.

So Friday night March the 27, 2015, I went to bed at 12:00 midnight and got up wide awake at 2:00 am.  I decided to stay up until I got tired but that didn't happen so I pulled an all nighter, it was great I got so much done and organized so much so I went through Collin's packet and found his acceptance letter still there and due before he left on his mission.  I resisted the urge to wake him up at 5:00 am to get it filled out instead waited until he got up, I had an envelope, with a stamp and then broke the news to him.  He calmly said  "mom I filled it out on line, we have a new thing called technology".  Yep hate him.
